Thomas
L. Phillips, Jr. was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on January 2,
1954. He attended Rustburg High School, then the College of William
and Mary where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating
from William and Mary with high honors in English in 1976, Mr.
Phillips Jr. attended the University of Virginia Law School. While
at UVA Law School he was a member of both the Editorial Board and
the Managing Board of the Virginia Law Review. He graduated from the
University of Virginia Law School in 1978, at which time he was
awarded The Order of the Coif.
Mr.
Phillips Jr. is a member of the Lynchburg and Campbell County Bar
Associations; the Virginia State Bar; the Association of Trial
Lawyers of America; and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. His
practice is primarily devoted to plaintiff personal injury
work, product liability, and criminal and traffic defense.
